Welcome to June. I’ve managed to keep up with the podcasting this month, hopefully I can make that continue. I’ve taken a rather novel approach to podcasting these days; I’m not trying to be anything but me. Nowhere is that going to be more evident on the podcast that will be dropping on Friday. It’s a topic that, if left up to me, I’d never do again. The topic is guns, and it’s a very simple bottom line: I hate guns, and if I had my way, no one not related to military or law enforcement would own one. I don’t care about the Second Amendment, and if we’re suddenly reached the point of taking away people’s rights, I have no issue taking that one away. Fuck your feelings, as the folks on the right like to say.
As I’m typing this, the Depp / Heard trial is reaching a verdict. Sort of. Apparently the jury didn’t fill out the form completely. Talk about prolonging something. I stayed away from this trial until the closing arguments, and then tuned in. Anything more than that I found to be a waste of time. It’s another flavor of reality TV, which I believe we watch so we can feel better about our own lives. (UPDATE: If anyone could be said to have won, it appears Depp did. We lost, having been inundated with the sordid details of a toxic relationship for the past six weeks.)
Today was Go Live Day (again) on the new project. As these things go, when you’re standing up a new operation from scratch…
